BWF Reader was originally created for BWF2XML FCP customers to test what BWF record setup would work with a selected setting in FCP 5.1.2 or the other way round.
It can read all file metadata (like bext and iXML data) and will display both the iXML source (and allows to edit it) and a structured tree view.
It does work with any BWF files.
It can be a big helper prior to real production, both for recordists and producers or editors.
